Domante Tirylyte:
“I am a producer for American Drama Group Europe and TNT Theatre Britain which are an internationally renowned fully professional touring theatre company that has been performing musical theatre plays in English, French, and Spanish throughout the world for over 4 decades – from China and Japan to Australia and Singapore, from North America to England and Scandinavia to Germany and Central Europe. We have won first prize at various theatre festivals including Shanghai, Edinburgh, Thessaloniki, Munich, and even Teheran. There is hardly another touring theatre company that can match us in both depth and entertainment quality.
As always, the production has comic elements, visual imagery, and live music. The play is for all ages as the production is notable for its highly physical style, its integrated musical score, the quality of the Shakespearean verse speaking and its dynamic interpretation which concentrates on the supernatural elements and above all the witches. The setting is historical. The set is also notable, shifting on wheels and pulleys to create a constantly moving image of forest and castle.
The production received press acclaim throughout its tour (almost unanimously good reviews), was attended by large audiences and often re-booked by notable theatres (such as Cologne Schauspielhaus or the Alti Fumin in Kyoto). The success of MACBETH inaugurated a cycle of Shakespeare productions that have given more performances in more countries than any other company since 2000. The productions have been: MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, HAMLET, ROMEO & JULIET, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, KING LEAR, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, THE TEMPEST, TWELFTH NIGHT and the current JULIUS CAESAR.

As with practically all our plays once a school has seen this play they want us to come back year after year. Not many theatre productions can say that about themselves. We are also performing in Sofia, Burgas, and Varna.
“This is a full-blooded production that is not afraid to unleash the power of Shakespeare’s dark masterpiece. The witches are identified as the source of the dramatic energy of the play. They are shamans, wild forest spirits and they are neither man nor woman. They inhabit the entire world of the play. Macbeth himself is a warrior, not a thinker, a man of courage whose bravery is corrupted by unthinking ambition. His wife is also a type of witch, this is a Lady Macbeth who calls down the spirits to “unsex her here” but is possessed and destroyed by the demons she thought to command. In contrast the Porter scene is a comic and acrobatic dance that is (unusually) genuinely funny. The set, by noted designer Kurn is an extraordinary luminous series of walls that become trees. These move around the stage on wheels, creating striking visual imagery. ” – Paul Stebbings, director.
